AAJ Entertainment partners with Age of Learning Foundation

In January 2021, the Age of Learning Foundation signed an agreement with our first broadcaster in South Asia, the AAJ Entertainment Network. The partnership was designed to bring quality educational TV content to children across Pakistan. Content that supports English language learning, encourages global curiosity, and enables children to build strong learner identities that connect their communities to the world, and the world to their communities.

Of importance to both Aaj Entertainment and the Age of Learning Foundation was ensuring that learners could access educational TV content both in Urdu and in English. Urdu translations of ABCmouse® video content therefore became an essential aspect of the strong collaboration.

“AAJ and Age of Learning Foundation have been partners since January 2021. We have collaborated to bring ABC Mouse Academy to AAJ Entertainment during this time. This partnership has allowed a young Pakistani audience to learn basic English and math through its cartoons. Urdu translations of advanced lessons have also given us an even wider audience. It has been a pleasure to work with the team. The Age of Learning Foundation’s commitment and passion for the source material, along with the entertaining quality of the content, ensure a tremendous learning experience for our children. Their particular focus on quality has provided us with an unrivaled educational product,” said Kiran Fulton, AAJ Entertainment Network

The partnership launched in February, 2021, with the airing of ABCmouse Academy, which the Business Recorder Group, the Pakistani media conglomerate behind Aaj Entertainment, described as “a series of entertaining and educational cartoons focusing on teaching children English, math science and social studies in a fun and interactive way.” ABCmouse Academy, as well as other more recent shows, continue to air daily on weekday afternoons throughout Pakistan.

After peaking at over 555,000 average daily viewers in 2021, engagement dropped to 300,000 in 2022. This was largely due to households prioritizing news oriented channels and programs during a particularly politically and economically volatile period. The first quarter of 2023 has seen an uptick to 310,000 average daily viewers for ABCmouse Academy and the Age of Learning Foundation‘s other affiliated shows currently airing in Pakistan.

The Age of Learning Foundation continues to be thrilled to be partnering with Aaj Entertainment, whose thoughtful and deliberate focus on children’s education continues to improve and transform lives.
